Tragedy in Kankara: One Dead, Another Injured, Multiple Kidnapped

In a disturbing incident on Sunday evening, between Maghrib and Isha'i, Bandits launched an assault on Katsalle, located near Mabai town, approximately fifteen (15) kilometers from Kankara local government in Katsina state. The attack resulted in the tragic death of Mustafa, severe injuries to Rabi'u, and the complete destruction of his residence.
Furthermore, the assailants kidnapped women and young children, escalating the gravity of the situation.
"We are living in a state of constant fear, feeling helpless. Our community is seeking refuge in mosques, appealing to both security forces and the Katsina state government for assistance. These criminals are encroaching upon us, extending their reach even to Mabai," expressed Aqibu Abdullahi, a resident of the affected town.
Despite the notable achievements of security forces in certain regions, there is a concerning surge in attacks by gunmen in various areas of Katsina state. Just last week, a similar incident unfolded in Tashar Bawa, bordering Kaduna in Sabuwa local government, where gunmen abducted over fifty individuals.
